Golden hour maternity photos with mountain peaks in the background and the October sun softy setting, casting a warm yellow light across the valley- so many reasons why I love late fall photo sessions! This beautiful maternity photo session was taken just outside of Vail Colorado, with mountain peaks in the background along with a view of the entire Vail Valley. It's so fun at this location to be able to see Beaver Creek ski resort, Vail and Bachelor Gulch all at once. This location can often times be quite windy (as it was on this day), but sometimes that can really add a fun element to photos as well!

This soft setting sun along the peaks of Colorado mountains is something I love so much about this location. There's options to walk around and get Beaver Creek, Vail and Bachelor Gulch in the background during a photo session. The alpenglow against the ski runs and fresh snow is just so pretty! And of course I love when the moon makes an appearance.

I know not everyone is into the idea of maternity photos, but I think it's such a beautiful and important time to capture! The last moments in life before welcoming a new soul into the world are special and certainly something to be captured. In a way it's your first family photo session, and Vail Colorado is definitely a great place for that.
