Winter Aspen Proposal


This perfect blue sky day at the top of Aspen mountain was a dream to capture for this sweet couple. Winter proposals (especially mountain top) are so beautiful and have a certain quality to them that I just love being a part of. This snowy winter engagement on top of the world was definitely one of these extra special moments to be part of.

This particular proposal was taken at the top of Aspen mountain, offering stunning views you just can't get from town. The location is overall easy to access, but some key things to keep in mind and plan for with a mountain top proposal are good to know!


  • access- top of mountain is only accessible by riding the gondola up to the top. Passes are needed to ride up, either a day pass or an Icon pass are needed.
  • timing- if you aren't planning to ski down, you need to pay close attention to the last gondola ride down the mountain to make sure you can get back down!
  • shoes- keep in mind variable snow conditions are at the top, so practical shoes are necessary for walking around once you're at the top here
