Vail Winter Proposal


I love being able to capture beautiful moments of love for people to remember forever- this surprise winter proposal in Vail Colorado was just one of those times! It was such a beautiful blue sky winter day with snowy trees and the sound of the creek in the background, just next to Lionshead Village. This little natural trail area is one of my favorite winter locations for photos (especially a proposal) as it's beautiful and scenic, but not far or difficult to access.

I always work closely with whoever is proposing to make sure to keep the moment a surprise, but still coordinate a gorgeous location and experience for them. After the surprise of the proposal itself, I like to have a more directed photo session with my couples for a more guided engagement photo session experience. Some things I always like to bring to attention are location and experience that you're wanting. I like to suggest blending a proposal into a nice dining reservation somehow, to allow for a slightly dressed up look with overalls attire appearance. Of course everyone is different, but it can be nice to be more dressed up for a photo session rather than having a casual look.
