Sapphire Point Proposal


This wintery surprise proposal at Sapphire Point was such a beautiful moment to capture for this sweet couple! It was one of those days when you don't know if it's going to snow sideways or have the sun come bursting out of the clouds- in typical Colorado weather fashion we got both. Of course this is one of the most vast and beautiful mountain peak views in the Breckenridge area, but another thing I love about this location is getting to watch the sky as it changes and evolves with the weather. Clouds roll in and out, changing the lighting and providing a variety of dramatic backgrounds. It's such a popular photo location for a reason and I never get tired of shooting here.

Because of the gorgeous mountain views and easy accessibility, Sapphire Point is a great location for a proposal! For these same reasons it's also a very popular and high trafficked area. This being said, I find there's always a nice area that feels private enough without a ton of people around to still have an intimate moment for the proposal itself. I always help guide my clients to a great location for privacy, view and overall best location in the area. It's overall pretty easy for a surprise proposal location as well due to the easy accessibility and exact location options in the area!

This location is one that I always suggest for Breckenridge engagement photos as well. It's a short drive from downtown Breckenridge, and very easy to access while still getting huge mountain peak backgrounds. Because this location is elevated as a look out point, there's views of the entire 10 Mile mountain range that you can't just see from anywhere. It's definitely a favorite and go to location for those winter Breckenridge engagement photo sessions with big mountain peaks in the background!
